I Love NY

 Welcome to Cortland County

From the gorgeous fall foliage to the crisp autumnal air, the Cortland County region is alive with bountiful activities and festivals this time of year. Get out there and discover a multitude of fun, colors and adventures the entire family will love.

Kicking off our celebration of the fall season is The Great Cortland Pumpkinfest. Attracting visitors near and far, the event offers hay rides, delectable fare, live entertainment, arts & crafts, and pumpkins galore! Don’t forget about our annual Fall Fiber Arts Festival on Little York Lake, featuring hands-on activities, animal exhibits, workshops, fiber vendors—and more!

Visit a nearby pumpkin patch Theresa’s Pumpkin Patch  (located on Route 281 in Little York; 607-749-7029) and pick your own pumpkins, perfect for decorating the house for fall and creating jack-o-lanterns for Halloween. Choose from an assortment of pre-picked pumpkins at Anderson’s Farm Market, Reakes Country Goods, and Hollenbeck’s Cider Mill, where you’ll also find apples, cider, pies—and other tasty treats!

Explore captivating views of the colorful fall foliage by foot (Finger Lakes Trail), horseback (Maybury Brook Stables & Big Easy Stables), car (begin in Homer, NY and continue along NY Route 41), and air (chair lift rides at Greek Peak).

Fall in love with all that Cortland County has to offer this season and you’ll begin to see why visitors return back to us year after year. If you’re looking for a place to stay, don’t forget that Cortland County lodging properties offer a number of special fall packages to help you save big on your getaway.
