If this was a normal year, we would be gearing up for a summer chock full of signature Cortland County events that showcase our love of art, music, culture, food and wine.
However, the increased effort to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus has meant the cancellation of many of these events. While some of the cultural events, like the annual Blackbird Film Festival, have been rescheduled for later dates, others, like Holiday in Homer and Arts and Wine Festival have been canceled entirely for 2020.
How can you continue to support these signature events that make Cortland County such a wonderful place to visit?
- Visit their Facebook pages and leave a message of support
- Check their websites for merchandise that can be purchased
- If you have purchased a ticket for a postponed or canceled event; rather than requesting a refund consider a credit to use at a later time, or donating the purchase price back to the organizer
