A WALK IN THE PARK
With so many beautiful parks in our great county, it’s hard to narrow down a list for the
perfect picnic location—but, we’ve managed to compile some of our favorites!
DWYER MEMORIAL PARK
The 55-acre park encompasses a softball field, horseshoe pits, and a
children’s play area combined with nature trails for recreation and
relaxation. Don’t forget to bring your canoe or boat as the park sits at
the north end of Little York Lake
HOPE LAKE PARK
Just steps from Greek Peak’s Hope Lake Lodge,
Hope Lake Park offers a variety of outdoor
activities—including fishing, paddle boats,
grilling, and liesurely strolls around the water.
SUGGETT PARK
COURTHOUSE PARK
Enjoy lazy summer days by the Wickwire swimming Home to many events throughout the year including, but not

YAMAN PARK
Minutes from Historic Downtown Cortland. Enjoy
the public beach, a skate park, a playground and a
basketball court. The three large pavilions
and 11 cabanas are perfect for larger gatherings.
KAYAKING
DESTINATION WATERWAYS
C ortland County has a lot to offer recreational paddlers thanks to ample public access to our
rivers and streams. The twists, turns and flow of the Otselic and Tioughnioga Rivers make
them great waterways for kayaking.
