Gear up for a high-flying weekend as the 12th Annual Cortland County Airfest on Saturday, July 23rd at Chase Field, 922 State Route 222 in Cortland.
Admission is free! Come enjoy a fun-filled day for the entire family. Step inside The National War Plane Museum Historic airplane. Experience the thrill of being in a C47 that carried paratroopers on D-Day during World War II. Rides will be available in the C47 for $150 per person. Many other airplanes are expected to fly in.
There will be breakfast from 8-11 a.m. hosted by Hairy Tony's. Come experience delicious food while watching planes come and go. Mo Mo's Cafe of Locke will be having their food truck and ice cream shack available from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The Willet Fire Department will be supplying BBQ chicken and more for purchase.
There will be a pilot's safety seminar from 10-11 a.m. presented by David St.George which is titled "Simple Changes for Safer Flying."
In addition, there will be a Cortlandville fire truck display, a women's Pilot Association display, a Levi Chase display and a clown for kids' entertainment.
The event is presented by United Health Care.
