The Special Olympics New York State Winter Games returns to Greek Peak Mountain Resort on Saturday, Feb. 25.
Approximately 500 Special Olympics New York athletes and coaches will visit Syracuse and surrounding areas in February to compete in the 2023 State Winter Games. From Opening Ceremonies Friday night to thrilling competition in six sports Saturday, State Winter Games is an event you won’t want to miss!
The games will host competitions in six sports: alpine skiing (at Greek Peak Ski Resort), cross country skiing (at Highland Forest), figure skating (at Upstate Medical Arena at OnCenter War Memorial), floor hockey (at The OnCenter), snowboarding (at Greek Peak Ski Resort) and snowshoe (at Thornden Park).
All Special Olympics New York programs, including the State Winter Games, are provided at no cost to the athletes or their families. The games are also free for spectators to attend.
