Creative Cortland is an exhibition obligated to evolve, a platform for artistic expression and imaginative persistence. The pandemic still continues to affect our daily lives; however, in 2022, we are once again able to gather, to connect with each other, and heal as a community. Continuing to traverse the unconventional imagination in expression, this year’s exhibition will explore the idea of renascence, the revival of something dormant, or an awakening.

Featured artists Crystal Lyon, Molly Reagan, Ashe Martin, and David Fransico will be LIVE painting pop-up murals exploring the idea of awakening. There are two times to visit with and watch the featured artists while they LIVE to paint the pop-up murals.

Gallery Opening: Saturday, Feb. 26 from 5:00-8:00 pm
First Friday: Friday, March 4 from 5:00-8:00 pm

CRT Downtown announces an open call for visual art entries in a Cortland Community Arts Exhibition. Entries will be open to residents of Cortland County – professionals, amateurs, and high school seniors – and students and faculty from Tompkins Cortland CC and SUNY Cortland.

Gallery Opening is Saturday, February 26, from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM. Exhibiting artists receive free entry. Additional tickets for the gallery opening can be purchased at the box office for $10 per ticket. Anyone coming to the Gallery Opening or Happy Hour will be required to show their vaccination card, and photo D. Masks are required unless eating/drinking.

The Creative Cortland Community Visual Arts Exhibition is open for viewing from February 26 – March 6; Saturday & Sunday from Noon – 5:00 PM, and Monday-Friday 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM with a suggested donation of $5.00.
