The laughs are back to the Finger Lakes Tasting & Tap Room when Homebrewed Comedy comes to Cortland on Friday, Nov. 19. Sarah Benson is headlining the show, and she'll be there with Shirelle Kinder, Luc Theirs and host Mike Peters. Tickets are $10 and are available online and at the door. The doors will open at 7 p.m.

About the comedians:
Mike Peters, a Binghamton comedian, specializes in self-deprecating, observational humor. A contributor for Funny or Die, Peters performed at the Funny Bone in Syracuse, the Greenwich Village Comedy Club in New York City, won the Utica Brews Laugh Contest and Uptown Roast Battle and opened for Super Troopers’ Rabbit, Erik Stolhanske and Gilbert Gottfried. Peters produces shows all over New York and hosts his weekly podcast, On the Mic with Mike Peters.

Between winning roast battles and appearing regularly at Comedy at the Carlson and other venues all over Upstate New York, Luc Thiers has been turning heads with his quirky observations and whimsical takes on everyday life. He’s one of the best comedians out of Rochester and someone you need to see at least six times.

Shirelle “Gator” Kinder has graced the Rochester comedy scene with her special brand of anecdotal humor since April. A finalist in the 2018, 2019 and 2021 Funniest Person in Rochester competitions, Gator entertains audiences with active storytelling, her complete and utter shamelessness, as well as free advice on one-upping cat-callers and unconventional funeral planning. Give her five minutes of your time and who knows what kind of knowledge you’ll walk away with?
Sarah Benson is one of the strongest comedians in Rochester. She came up through the Rochester scene before spending a few years in Denver. Benson has performed across the country, working at the ComedyWorks in Denver, the Helium Comedy Club in Buffalo, the Comedy Bar in Toronto and The Improv in Orlando, Fla. She's hosted monthly shows in Denver and Rochester and opened for Pete Holmes, Chris Kattan and The Grawlix.
