David Beale, local artist, will be teaching an eight-session class at Cortland Reuse, If Only They Could Talk: Reacting Through Painting and Writing to Found Objects. The first class will be held Tuesday, August 30, at 4 pm, with Tuesday classes continuing through Tuesday, October 18. Each participant will be given a sketchbook for creating drawings and sketches and writing informal essays on objects of interest found on the premises at Cortland ReUse. We will as a group explore the role narrative plays in visual art and how the use of narrative differs between visual art and writing.
Participation is free. Enrollment is limited to 12.
