Spooks and thrills fill the nighttime forest on the Greek Peak Mountain Coaster! The ride is spooky from 6-7 p.m., as the sun goes down the fright level goes up!

The 1890 House Museum and Knightime Paranormal are excited to present “Spirits in the Castle.” Join Knightime Paranormal as they lead you on an interactive investigation of Cortland’s Victorian-era stone castle. This year, we have a variety of otherworldly opportunities to explore the mansion. Choose between our Death and mourning tour, Search the basement for ghosts, or maybe test your bravery as we hold a seance in the carriage house. We hope you’ll join us for the only experience that puts the tools into your hands!

The Spooky Drive-In at Tompkins Cortland Community College
The weekend of October 23rd to October 25th, 2020, The Cortland Voice will be partnering with FunFlicks Indoor & Outdoor Movies to bring a drive-in movie series to you in celebration of Halloween. This event includes a selection of kid-friendly films, Hocus Pocus, Coco, It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown, and Toy Story of Terror. Two movie titles aimed for an older crowd will be shown later in the night, It (2017) and It Chapter Two, both geared towards more mature audiences looking for a scare.

Ghost Cam at Center for the Arts
For many years, rumors of spirits and ghosts wandering the halls of the Center for the Arts of Homer have been a conversation piece in our community and amongst our patrons. Stories of sightings and unusual occurrences are shared throughout the year by individuals who work at and visit the historic building at the Center (built in 1893), and while we have yet to capture any on camera – we figured 2020 is as good a year as any to try it out!
