Make Your Own Garden Lantern at Pottery Works

 

In Japan and other Asian countries, there is a long tradition of ceramic lanterns for the garden. In this workshop we will look at those designs, study how they are built, and invent our own unique lanterns using familiar design elements and techniques. Students will gain skills in slab building and functional ceramic design. It may be snowing now, but the warm evenings are coming soon -- Let’s make lanterns!
