Event has endedABOUT: Cortland First Fridays joins an informal nationwide movement to celebrate the arts in local communities on the first Friday of each month. Participating galleries, studios, artists, interested businesses, music and performing arts venues will be open to the public from 5 pm to 8 pm to spotlight the arts. May venues include: Cortland Free Library will be hosting local art students YWCA Cortland: Art by Martha Phillips Sikora Arts: "Of Paint and Metal" featuring the abstract sculpture of Ralph Jean-Baptiste and the abstract paintings Robert Sikora with another great reception and live music. "SikoraArts" located at 1010 McLean Road, Cortland, NY. It is at the corner of Pleasentview and McLean. They are open on Friday May 4th from 5-8pm. Other hours for the gallery are by appointment by calling at 607-597-9227. Refreshments will be served and live music will also be provided. There will be signs pointing to the entrance of the gallery. Please feel free to park on the street or the grass. Cheerful & Creative Cortland's Art Studio will host events on Mother's Day Weekend 5/11-5/13. The 1890 House Museum is open until 8 p.m., and offering half priced admission on First Friday. Cinch Art Space: On May First Friday, Cinch Art Space Celebrates 5 years of local art connections in Cortland. They are planning refreshments, wine tasting, music, Make & Take projects, and give-aways. More info coming soon!
