In this course, we will examine the advantages of using native perennials in landscaping - including the ways they bolster nearby environments and offer refuge to wildlife. Our discussions will include plant selection, design, and upkeep, as well as how to create a sustainable garden.
We will explore various types of native flora - such as trees, shrubs, and wildflowers - and discuss how to pick the appropriate plants for your garden in light of the soil, sunshine, and water availability. Additionally, you will gain insight on designing your garden to suit the needs of local wildlife, like pollinators and birds, while making a varied and harmonious ecosystem.
