Back by popular demand, the Cultural Council of Cortland County is offering a second Story Slam on November 7 at the Center for the Arts. This event, which brings the art of storytelling to our community offers the opportunity for friends and neighbors to share their road trip story in front of a live audience. Over the course of the evening, the audience will hear stories around the theme ‘road trip’ from locals, including: Carol Foster, David Beale, Greg Moller, Joe Cortese, Kris Rahner, Marlo Colletto, Pat Lane, and Sean Cummings. Highlighting real-life experiences, stories are true as remembered by the teller and told from the heart, without written notes.
The evening will be guided by emcee Bob Cat, farmer at Main Street Farms, who moonlights as a musician in The Local Farmers Union and hosts local trivia nights. Full of his own tales from the road, Bob Cat will guide attendees through the evening.
Advanced sale tickets are now available at a discounted rate – visit the Cultural Council website to get your tickets. Admission at the door will cost $5 each for Cultural Council members and $8 for general admission.
