A Farm-to-Field Adventure in Cortland County

Event has ended

Calling all curious foodies, farm lovers, and agri-adventurers! On Sunday, June 22, you're invited to explore the rich agricultural heart of Cortland County with a self-guided (but snack-fueled!) tour of three extraordinary farms.

The day kicks off at Trinity Valley Dairy (8:45–10:30 AM), a fourth-generation family farm where creamy dreams come true. Their beloved Jersey cows produce award-winning creamline milk—and yes, there will be samples.

Next up, it's off to the hills of McGraw for a nutty detour at Z’s Nutty Ridge (10:45 AM–12:30 PM), where hazelnuts thrive in a one-of-a-kind orchard and nursery. Come learn how this innovative farm is changing the nut game in upstate New York.

The final stop is the lush, off-grid oasis of Horsetail Herb Farm (1:00–2:45 PM), where regenerative farming meets old-world charm. Draft horses, medicinal herbs, garlic, and flowers come together in a place that feels part apothecary, part fairy tale.

Visitors can join for all or part of the day—just drive yourself between stops or meet up at Trinity Valley to carpool. Light snacks are provided, and good vibes are guaranteed.

Hosted by the Cortland County Farm Bureau Young Farmers & Ranchers—but open to everyone who loves a good farm story and a day well spent.
