The Celtic trio Arise & Go is returning to the Arts at Grace as part of their 2020 New York State St. Patrick’s Day tour. Bring the whole family and join in the celebration. There is no admission charge. Arise & Go albums will be available for purchase.
Arise & Go is an exciting trio of musicians from Ithaca, NY. They play music of Ireland, Scotland and Atlantic Canada. Praised for their “precision and energy”, their sound is both grounded in tradition and uniquely fresh and driving. From concert halls to festival stages, band members Michael Roddy, Ellie Goud, and Tim Ball weave together a wide range of traditional Celtic music on Irish and Scottish pipes, fiddle, and guitar. In 2017, Arise & Go released their debut self-titled EP to great acclaim. In 2018, the band was voted best act of the 2017/2018 season on Bound for Glory, the longest running live folk music radio show in North America. Then in 2019 their release of Meeting Place was received with enthusiastic praise.
Michael Roddy, Ellie Goud, and Tim Ball showcase unique elements of the different Celtic traditions each brings to Arise & Go’s sound.
