Classical Guitar performance by Dave Richman

On Saturday, May 2, from 7-9 p.m., the Unitarian Universalist Church of Cortland presents an encore performance of Dave Richman on classical guitar.
The program will include music from Renaissance to Baroque, from 19th century Classical to Modern, as well as Spanish Guitar and South American compositions. Dave will discuss each composer as well as the ways music changed and progressed over the centuries. In this unique and intimate setting, listeners are able to view, as well as hear, each note.
Suggested donation: $5 - $20 Refreshments Available Ithaca-based guitarist and band leader Dave Richman plays styles from folk, country, and bluegrass to rock, jazz, and classical. He’s a member of Grassanova (bluegrass Americana), Richman and the Poorboys (dance music), and What’s Cooking (jazz trio). Dave has been for 25 years a member of the Classical Guitar Society of Upstate New York. He plays classical guitar weekly at the Stonecat Café in Hector, NY.
