Cortland, NY 13045
It's a concert! It's a cafe! It's a booksale! Cortland Coffeehouse PLUS happens every month at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Cortland.
On Saturday, February 21, from 7-9 p.m., we welcome Lynn Koch. Mr. Koch has been a musical presence in Cortland County since his arrival in 1987. For nearly three decades he taught vocal and instrumental music in Cincinnatus. He has also been organist/choir director at McGrawville Baptist Church since 1990. Concurrent with these activities he has been involved with folk music as performer, recording artist, researcher, arranger, and transcriber. Lynn’s program at the Coffeehouse will be a potpourri of folk influences from throughout his many decades as a folk musician.
Songs will be presented from his most recent CDs, from his vast repertoire of NYS folk songs, and songs from American, British and Irish traditions, as well as more contemporary and topical songs by other singer/songwriters. For part of his program he will be joined by his friend, cellist Jim Weiss. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Please use side entrance on Elm Street. Refreshments available. $5 - $20 suggested donation to help preserve the historic building.
