How to Run for Public Office Workshop

The League of Women Voters of Cortland County is inviting the public to join them in their “How to Run for Public Office” event on Monday, February 2nd at the CNY Living History Center. The event is free to attend with refreshments provided. The LWVCC says hors d’oeuvres and beverages will begin at 5pm with the panel discussion starting at 5:45pm.

Panel speakers include elected officials from local government, previously elected officials, and from political party associations. Following the discussion will be a Q&A the LWCC says.

Those speaking will address certain topics. Additional information may be found below:

  • Dean Corbin -Member Cortland County Democratic Committee, Financing a Campaign
  • Doug Withey – Former Supervisor, Town of Cortlandville, Assembling a Team
  • Kathy Arnold – Former County Legislator, Truxton, Campaigning: Reaching Out to All Registered Voters
  • Tom Conlon – Common Council Ward 5, Campaigning and Beyond
