Open House to Honor All Women Who Have Served in the Military in any capacity, Saturday, June 13, 1-3 pm at the Central New York Living History Center.
Join us to celebrate the signing of the Women’s Armed Services Integration Act. Signed into law June 12, 1948, this Act allowed women the right to permanently serve in the regular armed forces. FREE admission for all women who have served in any capacity and their guest and all veterans with ID
Opening Program • The Women’s Armed Services Integration Act • Short video on women in the military • Introduction to the Twin Tiers Honor Flight and All-Women Veterans Mission • Opportunity to Share Stories & Experiences Followed by • Refreshments and informal conversation • Tours of museum displays featuring women who have served in the military in many capacities
