Raina Sokolov-Gonzalez is a singer and composer based in Brooklyn, New York. With both Hispanic and Jewish heritage, Raina comes from rich lineages of storytelling. Rooted in Jazz, Soul, and songwriting traditions, Raina’s songs combine familiar sonic palettes with lyrical precision.
With her solo project, Raina has packed rooms at venues such as Joe's Pub, NuBlu, Public Records, Brooklyn Bowl, Homer Center for the Arts, and many others. She has toured both nationally and overseas. As a featured vocalist, Raina has performed on stage at Town Hall, MoMa PS1, Roulette, The Stone, Jazz at Lincoln Center, and many others.
Raina started releasing music in 2018. Her debut album ‘If They’re Mine’ was released in 2021, garnering over 1.5 million streams on Spotify. Her forthcoming EP 'Habit' will be released in Fall 2025.
Raina has been an artist in residence at Millay Center for the Arts (2023), Ancram Center for the Arts (2024) and is a part of the Joe’s Pub Working Group cohort ‘24-’25
