Cortland Arts Connect invites the community to enjoy an exhibit by award-winning local photographer Sherry Dans titled “Eclectic Images from My Wanderings” in the first floor Art Gallery of the McNeil Building, 19 Main Street, Cortland, through January. The McNeil Gallery is open to the public during regular business hours.

Seeing the beauty of nature around her and capturing those moments to savor and share with others; Sherry loves sharing her love of nature and photography. Sherry specializes in wildlife and landscape photography and enjoys photographing wildlife without intruding on them and capturing landscapes with a unique perspective. Sherry stated about her show, “I’ve always loved taking pictures – now I love making images! I get enjoyment out of seeing life more fully, no matter where I am. Whether it is wildlife, or beautiful vistas, or the constantly changing face of nature –I love it all. Come share my wanderings through my pictures.”

The exhibit features images that she has taken over several years featuring a variety of subjects including birds, sunrises, flowers, architecture, a harpist, a vintage car, deer, waterfalls, winter, autumn and even a couple of holiday images! All the photographs in the exhibit have been matted and framed and are available for sale.

Sherry serves as a board member of Cortland Arts Connect and has shared her love of photography by leading photography workshops for the community.
