The Arts Off Main Festival returns on Saturday, August 1, 2026, transforming Court Street into a vibrant, walkable arts district where creativity takes center stage. Whether you’re a longtime art lover or just looking for a unique summer outing, this free, family-friendly festival offers something for everyone.
Things to Do at Arts Off Main 2026
One of the best things to do in Cortland this summer, Arts Off Main is more than just an art fair, it’s a full-blown celebration of local talent and hands-on creativity. Here are some can't-miss highlights:
Channel Your Inner Picasso
Why just admire the art when you can make your own? Throughout the day, Arts Off Main offers hands on mini workshops where you can learn directly from local artists. Most materials are provided, making it easy for beginners and families to discover a new creative hobby together. Space is limited, so be sure to reserve your spot before the festival.

Aunt Irene’s Variety Show
Join puppeteer Lily Gershon and musician Matt Ocone for a whimsical, family friendly adventure filled with colorful characters, live music and plenty of surprises. Aunt Irene is determined to meet the googly eyed Old Greeny lake monster, but will the mysterious creature make an appearance at Arts Off Main?
Interactive Chalk Mural with Molly Reagan
Grab a piece of chalk and leave your mark on Cortland, literally! Local artist Molly Reagan of Good Neighbor Art is back with her popular collaborative chalk mural. Stop by, doodle a masterpiece, and be part of a community work of art.
