Cortland County rolls out the red carpet for truck lovers and history buffs each summer during the annual Brockway Truck Show, returning August 7–10, 2025, in the Village of Homer. A beloved tradition now in its 25th year, the event draws thousands of spectators to admire vintage heavy-duty trucks, celebrate Cortland’s industrial heritage, and enjoy small-town festivities.
The weekend kicks off with a Brockway-themed Ice Cream Cruise-In and a “Huskie Drive” convoy of trucks, followed by live music, fireworks, and a formal dinner honoring Brockway employees. The main event takes place Saturday, August 9, when dozens of restored Brockway trucks line Main Street from Route 90 to Route 41. Vendors, food, and live entertainment round out the day, with a community breakfast wrapping up the celebration on Sunday.
Founded in 1875 as Brockway Carriage Works, the Brockway Motor Company produced custom-built trucks in Cortland until 1977. Each vehicle was proudly marked with a husky dog hood ornament, earning Cortland the nickname “Huskie Town, USA.”
