The laughter is coming to McGraw when Homebrewed Comedy hits the stage at McGraw Box Brewing Co. on Friday, Feb. 23. Karen Rontowski is headlining the show and Rob Fish is joining host Mike Peters. The show starts at 7 p.m. but get there early to get some drinks. It's a free show, so tip the staff super well. Seating begins at 6:30 p.m.
About the comedians:
Mike Peters, a Binghamton comedian, specializes in self-deprecating, observational humor. A contributor for Funny or Die, Peters is the founder of Homebrewed Comedy. He hosts at the Syracuse Funny Bone and Wise Crackers in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., won the Utica Brews Laugh Contest and Uptown Roast Battle and opened for Super Troopers’ Rabbit, Erik Stolhanske and Gilbert Gottfried. Peters produces shows all over New York and hosts his weekly podcasts, On the Mic with Mike Peters and It’s About Time: A Sopranos Watch Podcast.
Rob Fish is one of the hardest-working comedians in Utica. A regular at the Uptown Theater and a host of the open mic at 12 Stone Brewing in Utica, Fish is a prolific podcaster and a 30-something curmudgeon, which delights audiences all over New York. He hosts at the Syracuse Funny Bone and co-hosts the Up Next Sports Show and Comics of the Round Table on the Fish Guy Media Network.
Karen Rontoswki’s stand-up showcases endearing, self-effacing and intelligent characters that catch you by surprise every time. She uniquely blends comedy with her experience as a Paranormal Investigator, Tarot and reiki master. Rontowski has appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman, Sirius Satellite Radio, Comics Unleashed, Comedy.com, Live at Gotham, Comedy Central and Mysteries of the Unexplained.
