An irreverent, dreamlike, zany retrospective of a mild-mannered junior high math teacher’s support of her gay son who was brutalized by police in the Stonewall Riot. Using contemporary news reports and speeches to trace the steps leading up to the mother’s decision to march to a protest and beyond, we meet such characters such as Maria Van Trapp, The Virgin Mary… and Marge Simpson. One mother’s choices lead to a world-changing movement – and this is how it all began. Ish.
