Regional Photography Show

The annual Regional Photography show is sponsored by the Cortland Arts Connect (formerly Cultural Council of Cortland County). The show will open October 1 in the Art Gallery of the Cortland Free Library and will be displayed until October 30th during normal library hours.

Twenty-two photographers will have their work on display in this year's show. This is the eleventh juried Regional Photography Exhibit, and this year, photographers have submitted 42 works, choosing from three specific categories: Silhouettes, Purple, and Patterns in Nature. In addition, two other categories were included: Collage (using Photoshop or other software), and Open (photo taken within the past 3 years).

This show is a great opportunity to see the local photography talent and creativity of the Cortland community. Come out and enjoy the beautiful photographs of everything from a bald eagle to zebras, fungi to flowers, captured by both amateur and professional photographers.

Awards will be given in each category and will be presented via livestream on Facebook in a few weeks after the show opens to allow the public to first view and become familiar with the exhibit. This opening takes place on First Friday. First Friday is a monthly event sponsored by the Cortland Arts Connect highlighting arts and music in downtown Cortland.
