The Jazz Happens Band

Formed in 2005, The Jazz Happens Band is a traditional Dixieland jazz band from Cortland, New York with a repertoire of Dixie, blues, and quick stepping jazz. Re-organized in 2007, this talented group of local musicians features Jeff Dovi on trumpet, Mike Poole on trombone, Nick Pauldine on clarinet, Jim Overhiser on tuba, Robert van Renesse on banjo, Steve Wilson on piano, and David Alexander on drums. Ted Walsh & Steve Daniels open the show with their mix of folk, jazz, and Americana as seen through the lens of a seasoned singer-songwriter and saxophone extraordinaire.
