The Cortland Main Street Music Series returns for its 16th season!
Start your weekend off right every Friday in July at the Cortland Main Street Music Series! The series is celebrating its 16th season with high-energy shows covering genres ranging from rock, Americana, country, folk, blues, Celtic rock, and everything in between.
The combined 12 local, regional and national acts will play on the CFCU Community Credit Union stage for the free, family-friendly concerts in the city lot between 64-76 Main Street. Gates will open at 5:00 p.m. for each Friday show, and music will begin at 5:30 p.m.
The VFW Auxiliary group will have their food tent setup, and there will be a variety of domestic beers, wine, seltzers, and local craft beers at the beverage tent.

FRIDAY, JULY 5TH
feat. THE ALTERNATIVE ROUTES / FALL CREEK BRASS BAND / LONNIE PARK
The series kicks off on Friday, July 5th with the local duo of Grammy-award nominee Lonnie Park and world-renowned vocalist and guitarist John West. They will be followed by The Fall Creek Brass Band, a group out of Ithaca with New Orleans sounds. The evening will be capped off with a performance by Connecticut-based band, The Alternate Routes at 7:45 p.m. The American rock band has made numerous appearances on late night television, including “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson” and “Late Night with Conan O’Brien.”
FRIDAY, JULY 12TH
FEAT. THE TODD HOBIN BAND / THE COUSINS / THE BEAUCHESNES
The series will continue with hometown bands, The Beauchesnes and The Cousins. The Beauchesnes are an original blues-based Americana duo, while The Cousins are a garage-rock band fronted by the songwriting and singing combo of Quona Hudson and Clint Bush. Headlining the night is the internationally acclaimed Todd Hobin Band from Syracuse. Their distinctly American, melodic, driving and powerful tunes have shared the stage with the greatest bands of their time from The Beach Boys and Kinks, to the Allman Brothers and Hall & Oates.
FRIDAY, JULY 19TH
FEAT. ENTER THE HAGGIS / THE OLD MAN / STARMER BROTHERS
The third week of music brings in Enter the Haggis, the high-energy Celtic rockers out of Toronto, Canada. The group combine bagpipes with a rock rhythm section to develop a distinctively eclectic sound. Their best-loved songs, including “One Last Drink,” “Down With The Ship,” and “Gasoline,” have been coined “folk rock anthems.” The show opens with Cortland duo, the Starmer Brothers, who’s extensive song long list blends rock, jazz and blues music. The Old Main follow with their foot-stomping folk and alt-Americana music out of the Adirondack region.
FRIDAY, JULY 26TH
FEAT. BRANDON 'TAZ' NIEDERAUER / MIKE POWELL & THE BLACK RIVER / MARC RYAN
The series wraps up on Friday, July 26th with virtuosic guitar prodigy, Brandon ‘Taz’ Niederauer. The sixteen-year-old has performed in some of the most legendary venues in America and shared the stage with greats such as Buddy Guy, the Tedeschi Trucks Band, Umphrey’s Magee and Twiddle. Tribal Revival Band front man, Marc Ryan, will kick off the final night of music, followed by the soulful rock tunes of Mike Powell and the Black River.
