Looking for the purr-fect Valentine's date? One who won't judge you for wanting to stay in and snuggle in your paw-jamas? Well, comb your whiskers and fluff your tail, the Cortland County SPCA is hosting its first-ever, Blind Date with a Cat!
HOW IT WORKS
This event is by appointment only, so first things first, you must call the shelter to register at (607) 753-9386. At that time an adoption counselor will run you through a brief Q. and A. to help match you with the best cat-didate. They will also assist you in filling out an adoption application and give you an appointment time.
When you show up for your blind date an adoption counselor will bring out your best-matched cat or kitten, for a private meet and greet. You will have 20 minutes alone to snuggle, chase toys, and decide if this is your future roommate. If your date goes well, you can adopt and bring them home immediately. So, don't forget to bring a cat carrier with you if you are hoping for a feline Valentine.
Found a furry face on the website you just can't resist? Purrrr-haps you can't make it down for the Blind Date Event? No problem! Just fill out the online adoption application and schedule an appointment during regular visit hours. All cats and kittens are available for adoption to those who reside both in and out of Cortland County. So, schedule your date today and know there will always be someone waiting at home, happy to see you.
