The Center for the Arts of Homer announced 15 live music performances for its 2020 winter/spring schedule that includes classic rock bands, rap artists, blues musicians and more.
The list includes three-time GRAMMY winner Shawn Colvin, The Travelin' McCourys, Macy Gray, singer-songwriter-rap-legend Everlast, Vanessa Carlton and The Travelin' McCourys, who won the Best Bluegrass Album at the 2019 Grammy Awards.

CITIZEN COPE - SOLO ACOUSTIC
February 6th at 8 p.m.
Clarence Greenwood, the trailblazing artist and producer better known as Citizen Cope, has built his entire career on trusting his gut and following his muse, and if his new album, 'Heroin & Helicopters,' is any indication, his instincts are sharper now than ever before. His music is commonly described as a mix of blues, soul, folk and rock. Citizen Cope's compositions have been covered by everyone from Carlos Santana and Sheryl Crow to Richie Havens and Rhymefest, and has shared stages with superstars like Eric Clapton.

THE TRAVELIN' MCCOURYS

A bluegrass band from Nashville, Tennessee, that was awarded Best Bluegrass Album at the 2019 Grammy Awards. Their concerts have become can't-miss events, whether headlining historic venues or as festival favorites, drawing the love and respect of a growing fanbase craving their eclectic repertoire.

THE JAYHAWKS
March 5th at 8 p.m.
The Jayhawks is an American alternative country and country rock band that emerged from the Twin Cities music scene during the mid-1980s. Over the course of two decades, nine albums, countless memorable live shows and enough personal drama to fill a couple of Behind the Music episodes, this beloved band soared to heights few ever achieve while winning the hearts and minds of numerous critics, fans and peers in the process.

ERIC GALES
March 6th at 8 p.m.
Eric Gales, also known as Raw Dawg, is an American blues-rock guitarist. As of 2019 Gales has recorded eighteen albums for major record labels and has done session and tribute work. He brings a unique hybrid blues/rock sound that also draws upon influences as diverse as Albert King and Frank Gambale.

MACY GRAY
March 7th at 8 p.m.
That unmistakable rasp, unshakable grasp on soul, and funky spirit ensured Macy Gray her status as a 21st century icon. Tab Benoit is a GRAMMY nominated singer, songwriter and guitarist who has built a remarkable 30+ year career on the foundation of his gritty and soulful Delta swamp blues and acquiring a devoted legion of fans along the way, as well as five Blues Music Awards, including BB King Entertainer of the Year (twice) and an induction into The Louisiana Music Hall of Fame.

SOUTHSIDE JOHNNY AND THE ASBURY JUKES

Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes are a Jersey Shore musical group led by Southside Johnny. They have been recording albums since 1976 and are closely associated with Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band.

SUZZY ROCHE & LUCY WAINWRIGHT ROCHE: A MOTHER/DAUGHTER DUO

Suzzy Roche and Lucy Wainwright Roche have shared a life on the road. Their recording Fairytale and Myth, the first recording collaboration between them, won the Vox Pop best singer/songwriter CD for the Independent Music Awards. And their new CD called Mud and Apples has also been nominated for an Independent Music Award. Their show is a fun filled evening of smart, thoughtful, songs with plenty of familial harmonies.

SHAWN COLVIN: STEADY ON 30TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR

Three-time GRAMMY winner Shawn Colvin’s debut album, Steady On, was released in October 1989, a stunning introduction to an artist who quickly established herself as a mainstay in the singer - songwriter genre. The album was lauded for its confessional songwriting and well - crafted melodies, and for Colvin’s tender and provocative vocals. Colvin received the ultimate acknowledgement for Steady On when she was awarded the GRAMMY award for Best Contemporary Folk Album. She swiftly amassed a dedicated and passionate fanbase.
