THE PORCHFEST PARTY
The streets of Van Hoesen, Chestnut, Harrison, Joy, and Hamlin will be taken over by some front porch pickin, neighborhood singin' good times. Local community members will lend their porches and driveways in Cortland for dozens of bands to perform.
Porchfest activities kick off at noon with a kid's parade and bagpipes. Live music continues until 5 pm. Don't forget to check out the fun games and craft activities for the children.
THE LINE-UP
Are you ready to rock? With over 30 live acts, from folk to rock, bagpipes to banjoes, there is a little something for everyone all day long!
THE MERCH
Where you even there if you don't have a t-shit to prove it? Molly Reagan’s (Good Neighbor Art) Porchfest t-shirts have such a cult following that the line wraps around the block before the music even begins! Each year the logo changes but the theme remains the same, "love your neighbor." From t-shirts to hats and everything in between, all the cool kids will be sporting this years Icey Pop logo. Rumor has it you might also be able to snag an Icy Pop koozie, for your favorite frozen delight. Speaking of froze delights...
TREAT YO' SELF
Now that you've danced until your feet hurt, it's time to grab a sweet treat. Hop in the car, or stretch your legs with a short jaunt around the neighborhood. Don't forget to bring your Cortland County Ice Cream Trail Map!
For the kids (or the kids at heart), we recommend stopping for a sweet treat at the Fosty Caboose. Located just around the corner at 107 Homer Ave, this converted train car serves up Perry’s Premium Ice Cream sundaes that will knock your socks off! Our current favorite is the"Peanut Butter Buster." Perry’s Premium Peanut Butter Cup Hard Ice Cream, topped with chocolate syrup, peanut butter sauce, peanut butter cup candy, whipped cream and cherry on top! And don't worry, Forst Caboose serves all their goodies togo, so you don't have to miss your favorite band at Porchfest!
