Meghan Lawton graduated from Homer High School in 2003 and SUNY Cortland in 2007 and has found her way back to Cortland County. She recently took the Cortland County Convention & Visitors Bureau Executive Director position after Jim Dempsey retired after 25 years of service. Last week we turned over our Instagram account to Meghan and experienced Cortland through her eyes.
For someone who has recently come back, Meghan experienced Cortland with an outside perspective or in the mindset of a visitor. During her Instagram takeover, Meghan had the opportunity to become reacquainted with Cortland County.
The biggest change since she’s been gone? Realizing just how much there is to do here.
This Instagram takeover allowed Meghan to play tourist and realize there is a lot of cool and fun stuff to do right here in Cortland County.
What makes Cortland County a hidden gem? Meghan will tell you the local landscape. Her favorite Instagram photo that she took this past week was her sunset shot in the Preble valley. It’s the beautiful scenery that you can find throughout Cortland County.
