Finger Lakes region is a finalist for Frommer's Best Places to Go in 2020.
Frommer’s has been counting down the Best Places to Go in 2020, and for the last month, the public has been sending in their nominations for the final spot. The Finger Lakes Region has moved on to the final stages of voting, and now it's up to you to bring home the win!
We want to encourage each and every one of you to vote by taking less than a minute to fill out the form at the end of this article - which simply asks for email and destination name. The polls will be open from now until 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, January 19. Other destinations named to the list include Porto (Portugal), Eilat (Israel), Sonoma County (California) and Charleston (South Carolina).
Cortland County is one of fourteen individual counties that make up the Finger Lakes Region. The area encompasses over 9,000 square miles and eleven lakes, boasting an incredible array of attractions including, but certainly not limited to more than 135 museums, 14 professional theatre companies, 80 plus art galleries, 1,063 waterfalls and gorges, more than 100 wineries, 26 state parks, and fairs and festivals every week, such as the 4th Best Fall Festival in the USA according to USA Today's 10BEST Readers' Choice Awards, The Great Cortland Pumpkinfest.
