One can't help but feel nostalgic during the holidays. The cozy fires and twinkling lights set the stage for memory-making. We asked a few locals what their favorite Cortland County winter traditions were. From the muralist in St. Mary's 6th-grade art class to those who live, work and play throughout the county, their answers did not disappoint. Perhaps they might inspire you to create a new tradition this year.
THERE'S SNOW PLACE LIKE HOME
These folks love embracing the weather and enjoying the outdoors. If you're looking to play in the snow, Cortland County is home to three ski mountains; Labrador Mountian, Song Mountian, and Greek Peak. If snowshoeing or cross-country skiing is more your style, Greek Peak's Nordic Center and Lime Hollow Nature Center offer rentals and trails.

I love browsing all the small artisan shops in the county, like Cinch, Apple Cinnamon Cottage, Willow Lane Farmhouse, and Just Chill.
