Eat, drink and be thankful this Thanksgiving! Whether you’re staying local for Thanksgiving this year or trying to make a small gathering less stressful, there are Cortland County restaurants offering premade Thanksgiving meals to help make an already difficult time a little easier.
Don't forget there are also restaurants letting you dine in, while others are also offering their everyday menu to go. It’s up to you how you feel it’s safe to celebrate in 2020. If you plan on eating at a restaurant, please make reservations ahead of time.
Here are a list of local eateries who are offering Thanksgiving takeout, pickup and delivery options so you can avoid cooking.

AJ'S FAMILY DINER
AJ's Family Diner is taking orders for desserts. They are whipping up a variety of cheesecakes, including plain and cherry, as well as well as pumpkins rolls and a selection of pies and cookies. Call to pre-order your goodies - orders must be picked up Wednesday, November 25th.

THE COMMUNITY RESTAURANT
The downtown Cortland restaurant will be offering Thanksgiving eats to go. Menu items range from stuffed mushrooms, roast turkey, a seafood platter, baked ham, pumpkin pie, and more. You can even get cocktails to-go. Cran-Apple Sangria, anyone? Click here to view their full menu. They are also offering delivery within a 5 mile radius, including downtown Homer. Please call Tuesday through Saturday, between 3-8 p.m. with your orders so they can better prepare to serve you.

GREEK PEAK MOUNTAIN RESORT
Skip the cooking and cleaning and let Greek Peak's master chefs prepare turkey, side dishes and desserts sure to impress your family. The menu is available for delivery and dine-in reservations at Trax Pub & Grill or The Acropolis. The feast includes butternut squash soup, Chesapeake shrimp BLT salad, oven roasted turkey and gravy, apple-pear sausage stuffing, mashed potatoes and maple roasted sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, cranberry sauce, and homemade apple crisp. You can add a pumpkin pie to the order for an extra $10.
The meal is only $99 plus tax to serve 4-6 people. You can choose to dine in, or place your order for delivery.

HOLLENBECK'S CIDER MILL
It wouldn't be a Cortland County Thanksgiving without a trip to Hollenbeck's Cider Mill! This year's pie flavors include Apple, Dutch Apple, Pumpkin, Blueberry, Dutch Blueberry, Pecan, Mince and their no sugar added Apple. You can also order Jamie's Famous Dinner Rolls for a Wednesday pickup only. There is also cider available by the gallon or half gallon.
Due to the pandemic, their Thanksgiving ordering and pickup will be different to previous years. Orders will be taken through Saturday, November 21, and will be available for pickup Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday prior to Thanksgiving. All orders must be placed via phone or in person in their drive-thru.

Vegetables, fruits, meat, dairy, and fresh baked goods - a one stop shop for your Thanksgiving spread. They are also holding a special this year - preorder two pies an get your choice of a cake roll for free (pumpkin, carrot, or red velvet). You must order by November 21st. If you need a lunch break, they are still preparing their daily hot food menu to go.

THE LOCAL FOOD MARKET
Main Street's grocery store is fully stocked with fresh produce, canned goods, dairy, frozen meat and more. They have a selection of alcoholic (for all the adults attending Thanksgiving dinner), and non-alcoholic beverages, as well as locally-made products, like milk from Trinity Valley. If you are making a quick trip to pick up groceries, don't forget to bring your own bags!
