DAY 1
NEW YORK BAGEL CAFE & DELI
33 Main St, Cortland
New York Bagle Cafe & Deli doesn't just make breakfast, they make awesome breakfast! That's why we're starting our Restaurant Week road trip in historic downtown Cortland. New York Bagel is offering any of their signature breakfast wraps, served with your choice of orange or apple juice and a bag of Deep River Chips for just $15. Our favorite is the Tayor. It is the perfect combo of spicy, crispy, and cheesy. Featuring eggs, cheddar cheese, bacon, hash browns, ham, pepper jack cheese and a dash of hot sauce wrapped up in a jalapeño cheddar wrap. Not a morning person? No problem! The same $15 bucks gets you your choice of any panini or lunch bagel sammie (from the $10 menu), plus a soda and bag of Deep River Chips.
THE GLEN HAVEN
7434 Fair Haven Rd, Scott
Now it's time to hit the back roads for a scenic drive to a historic inn right on the shores of Skaneateles Lake. The Glen Haven has been serving up scrumptious eats and lakeside views for decades. The only thing that rivals their world-class panorama is their classic burgers. Thick, hot and juicy, these burgers are worth writing home about. Served with fresh, house-cut fries, you'll have to remember to look up from your plate every once in a while to enjoy those waterfront vistas. For Restaurant Week, they are serving up a new culinary creation daily, offering the burger of the day for just $15. Once you're good and stuffed, take a stroll along the Skaneateles Lake before cutting across the county to Truxton.
HIAWATHA INN
3744 State Route 13, Truxton
Truxton is famous for two things: the legend of the Truxton Beast and the Hiawatha's Prime Rib Dinner. This Restaurant Week, on Saturday night, you're in for a real treat. The Hiawatha Inn is offering its three-course, signature prime rib special for just $35. Slow-roasted, succulent, beef drizzled with au jus and served with mashed potatoes, green beans, tossed salad and dessert; this dinner is a beast! I recommend taking it to the next level with a signature Watha Bloody Mary. Its sharp bite is just what you need to wash down this fantastic meal.
DAY 2
THE EXCHANGE RESTRUANT
21 North Main St, Homer
It's had to beat breakfast for just $10. This Restaurant Week, the Exchange is offering your choice of Cinnamon Bun Pancakes, Fruity French Toast, or Strawberry Shortcake Pancakes. Around here, we're a little obsessed with their Fruity French Toast. Served with ripe berries and bananas, doused in local maple syrup, it's pure perfection when paired with a bubbly mimosa or their fresh roasted coffee. Not a breakfast fan? Don't fret; the Exchange also offers a $15 lunch special and a fabulous three-course dinner for just $35.
THE STUDENT DELI
134 Main St, Cortland
One of downtown Cortland's newest restaurants, The Student Deil, has opened just in time for Restaurant Week! Not just for the SUNY crowd, the Student Deli is offering both lunch and dinner. For $10 you can grab a Boar's Head meat and cheese roll, made to order. Paired with a bag of chips and a soda, it is perfect for a quick bite on the go. Or, for $15 you can try one of their signature Halal dishes. Your choice of tender chicken or lamb seasoned with aromatic spices served on a bed of rice and drizzled with their house-made white sauce will really make your taste buds pop.
CARVERS STEAKHOUSE
2177 Clute Rd, Virgil
For our last stop on the tour, we're taking you across Cortland County all the way to Virgil. Situated under one of Cortland's most recognizable mountains, the drive to Carver's Steakhouse is especially beautiful in the spring. Carver's is celebrating Restaurant Week with two courses for $25. For your first course, you can choose from one of three mouth-watering appetizers: the Tenderloin Tips, Arancini, or Tuna Bites. For your entree, you may choose between Elk Burger & fries, Shaved Steak Sandwich, or Greek Peak Salad. The Greek Peak Salad is a personal favorite in the office. We recommend adding grilled shrimp to really take this sweet and savory dish to the next level. Pair with a crisp white, you've got a dinner that can't be beaten!
Well, you've managed quite the road trip around our scenic Cortland County. And just think, this is only a tiny taste of all the delectable dishes being served at the 25 participating restaurants! With so many locations, cuisines and price points, we're sure there is something perfect for your discriminating pallet. If you are considering dining in-house, we suggest making a reservation.
