Third Thursday Reset: A Monthly Sound Journey for Busy Humans
165 S Main St
Suite 18L
Cortland, NY 13045
Life asks a lot of us. We're constantly making decisions, solving problems, caring for others, responding to messages, managing responsibilities, and moving from one thing to the next. Many of us spend our days giving our attention away—to our work, our families, our communities, and the endless demands of modern life. The Third Thursday Reset is a monthly invitation to pause before burnout catches up.
For 90 minutes, you'll be welcomed into a calming sound journey designed to help your body and mind shift out of constant doing and into deep rest. Using crystal singing bowls, voice, percussion, chimes, and other therapeutic instruments, you'll simply lie back, get comfortable, and allow yourself the rare opportunity to receive instead of constantly giving. Many participants describe leaving feeling calmer, mentally clearer, physically lighter, and better equipped to meet whatever life asks of them next.
Each month features a unique theme inspired by the changing seasons and the rhythms of the natural world, offering practical space to reflect, recharge, and reconnect with yourself. You might even learn new tricks and skills to bring into your daily life. No experience with meditation, yoga, or sound baths is necessary. There is nothing to perform, achieve, or get "right." Wear comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat, blanket, pillow, eye mask, or reclining camp chair—whatever helps you settle in comfortably. The Wellness Studio also has ample mats, blankets, and bolsters available if you don't have them or are coming in on a lunch break. Whether you've been feeling overwhelmed, mentally "on" all the time, emotionally stretched thin, or simply overdue for a quiet evening, this is a place to rest. Because taking care of yourself isn't stepping away from your life—it's one of the ways you become more capable to be fully living in it.
ABOUT EARTHTONED Hi, I'm Robyn Mello, founder of Earthtoned. I'm new to Cortland County, but the work behind Earthtoned has been growing for more than 15 years. Throughout my career, I've brought together music, ecology, education, and wellness to help people feel more connected—to themselves, to one another, and to the places they call home. My background includes nonprofit leadership, ecological education, regenerative land stewardship, professional music performance, and designing restorative experiences for individuals, organizations, and communities. I've taught hundreds of students, led sold-out educational programs, performed at festivals and public events, and supported people through seasons of stress, grief, burnout, and major life transitions. Earthtoned grew from a simple observation: I believe our lives work a lot like ecosystems. When we consistently care for the foundations—rest, relationships, movement, time in nature, creativity, and meaningful connection—we become more resilient, more present, and better equipped to handle whatever life brings. Whether you join a monthly sound bath, attend a workshop, or work with me privately, my goal is always the same: to create a welcoming space where you can slow down, take a full breath, reconnect with yourself, and leave feeling calmer, clearer, and better prepared to return to your everyday life. I'm grateful to be putting down roots here and look forward to growing alongside the Cortland-area community. I hope to meet you soon.
EVENT DETAILS: Investment: $44 per person Registration is simple! Reserve your space by sending $44 via Venmo to @robynmello and include the date of the sound bath in the payment note. Space is intentionally limited to create a comfortable, restorative experience, so advance registration is recommended.
WHAT TO BRING The studio is thoughtfully equipped with yoga mats, thicker exercise mats, blankets, bolsters, and a naturally dim, calming atmosphere, so you don't need to bring much. You're welcome to bring: - A pillow or anything that helps you feel extra comfortable - A water bottle - A small, protein- and carbohydrate-rich snack to enjoy afterward [Although this isn't a traditional workout, your nervous system and body are doing meaningful work during the session. Many people find that hydrating and having a nourishing snack afterward helps them feel grounded and energized as they return to the rest of their day.] Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to fully relax.
ACCESSIBILITY The studio is located on the lower level of the building and is accessible by elevator, making it accessible for many guests with mobility needs. Most participants choose to lie comfortably on a mat during the sound journey, but you're also welcome to enjoy the experience from one of the wooden or cushioned benches available around the room if that's more comfortable for your body. No meditation, yoga, or sound bath experience is necessary. There is nothing to perform or achieve—simply come as you are.
