Little York Lake

6799 Little York Lake Rd
Preble, NY

Little York Lake is an idyllic spot to enjoy an afternoon of boating or fishing. Located in Dwyer Memorial Park, under the watchful gaze of the historic Little York Pavillion, the glittering water boasts 3.7 miles of shoreline. Littered with charming lakehouses and unique sculptures by local artists, the lake makes for an interesting paddle. Little York Lake is surprisingly deep, at 75 feet and is annually stocked with approximately 800 yearling brown trout and 5,000 yearling rainbow trout. A large pier at the head of the lake, crowned with a gazebo, makes for the perfect spot to cast a line.

Little York Lake is a popular spot for locals and visitors alike. There are restrooms, picnic facilities and playgrounds throughout the park. Little York Lake also connects to Goodale Lake and Green Lake via shallow waterways. Be sure to practice Leave No Trace principles. The DEC asks that you properly disinfect your boat before and after to prevent the spread of aquatic invasive species. DEC Procedures To Prevent the Spread of Aquatic Invasive Species.

Enter Dwyer Memorial Park, following the signs past the pavilion, towards the shore. A free hand launch is available to the public for kayaks, small craft and paddle boards. After launch, you must park your car in the pavilion parking lot. (42.709001°N, 76.151549°W)
