Step back in time on this family-friendly fossil-hunting adventure along the FLT! Designed for curious explorers of all ages, this guided hike introduces participants to the ancient landscapes, plants, and creatures that once shaped our region. As we walk along the trail and streams, our geologist guide will point out geological features, explain how fossils form, and share stories of the prehistoric worlds preserved beneath our feet.

Participants will learn how to safely and respectfully search for fossils, identify common finds, and understand their scientific significance. Along the way, children can participate in hands-on activities while adults enjoy deeper insights into the natural history of the area. (It’s not just for kids!)

This relaxed outing is perfect for beginners, young naturalists, and anyone who loves exploring outdoors. No prior experience is needed; just bring your sense of wonder!

Recommended For: Families, children ages 5+, nature lovers, homeschool groups, and anyone interested in earth science.
