I Love NY

 Welcome to Cortland County

It’s time to shed the winter blues and experience all that Cortland County has to offer during the spring season with outdoor activities, entertainment, and arts.

Home to five scenic golf courses, each offers a unique course design with beautiful views. Grab your clubs, head out to one of the courses and get a jump on another great season of golf!

Visitors looking for a little excitement should check out the outdoor Adventure Center (including zip lining, rope challenges, a Nor’easter Mountain Coaster—and more!), as well as Cascades Indoor Waterpark located at Greek Peak Mountain Resort/Hope Lake Lodge.

Trout season is upon us and Cortland County’s numerous lakes, ponds, and rivers offer some of the best trout fishing in New York State. Whether bait casting or fly fishing, our fisheries are in great shape with many of our waters stocked annually by the DEC. So cast a line for Trout, Bass, Walleye, Pickerel and pan fish.

With the arrival of warm weather it is time to start hiking and walking some of our scenic trails. Lime Hollow Nature Center offers miles of marked trails, as well as nature activities on weekends, while the nationally recognized Finger Lakes Trail is easily accessible at a number of sites in Cortland County.
